Your entries are scrambled on the way to their servers and while stored there. But the company keeps the key, so its systems, its staff and anyone who breaks in or sends a legal request could reach your words.

Private to your account
The same protection as most apps: sent over a secure connection, stored on encrypted servers, and only your account can open it. We don't read your journal, we never sell it, and it's never used for ads.
The Prayer Pen, locked
Only you hold the key
Turn on Lock your journal and every page is locked on your phone before it's saved. We store only scrambled text we can't unlock. Not even we can read your journal.
The trade-off: if you lose both your Face ID passkey and your recovery code, no one can recover your journal, including us. That's what makes it truly private.
Prefer nothing leaves your phone at all? Choose Keep my journal on this phone only in Settings. Your journal is never uploaded, but it won't sync to your other devices.
